Best CBD Coffee and Teas: The Perfect Blend

Coffee, and sometimes tea, is an integral part of many people’s days. It’s almost unimaginable to get up in the morning and not have your caffeinated drink to perk you up for the day ahead. And there may be something to boost that drink even further.

Marijuana-infused coffee: it sounds strange at first glance. Why would you combine these two things together? The marijuana industry has figured out a way to make your cup of joe more effective at keeping you energized.

Caffeine and cannabis combined make a surprisingly satisfying effect. Caffeine reinforces the effects of THC, potentially making it more pleasurable.

Health benefits of CBD are increasingly becoming known and the caffeine content in coffee is believed to carry various medical benefits too (with moderate coffee consumption), which includes protection against cancer, type 2 diabetes, liver disease, and the decrease of the risks of depression, among others. When taking these into account, drinking CBD-infused coffee and CBD-infused tea is another great way of consuming CBD.

Caffeine and Cannabis: What are the Effects?

Caffeine and CannabisCaffeine is one of the most popular drugs in the world. It stimulates the central nervous system and thus promotes brain activity and keeps people active and alert. It prevents receptors in our brain from taking adenosine, a compound that makes the brain feel relaxed and signals our body when it’s time to sleep. With our brains not being able to detect adenosine, we then feel more awake and energetic.

Cannabis, on the other hand, is made up cannabinoids, the most notable one being THC or tetrahydrocannabinol. It is a compound of cannabis that acts as a transmitter for neurons in the brain and is the main culprit for the cannabis high. When neurons are relaxed, the transmission of thoughts is stopped. Cannabis makes sure those breaks don’t happen and it can also help magnify a person’s imagination.

When these two things are combined, it can be the best enhancer for your brain, giving positive effects such as boosting your energy, improving your mood, and sharpening your thoughts.

There is also some research that suggests that coffee and cannabis can lead to a sense of euphoria. These cases aren’t perfectly proven as the field is in its infancy stages. Doing your research on CBD coffee to find what’s right for you is imperative.

CBD-Infused Coffee, Marijuana Coffee, and Hemp Coffee?

CBD-Infused Coffee, Marijuana Coffee, and Hemp Coffee

The first thing people ask when it comes to this product is the difference between marijuana coffee, hemp coffee, and CBD coffee. Hemp and marijuana are two plants of the same cannabis species, but hemp doesn’t get you high due to the lower amounts of THC in it. CBD is also widely sourced through industrial hemp and in turn has lower THC levels too.

THC and CBD are both found naturally in the cannabis plant. THC is known to be pyschoactive while CBD is not, while giving medical and other therapeutic effects without any of the ‘high’ associated with THC.

In coffee, some roasts include both CBD and THC though what is popular now is pure CBD coffee that provides CBD health benefits without giving any sort of high.

Products labeled “CBD coffee” or “hemp coffee” are loaded with CBD but only contain 0.3% THC. There is no cognitive impairment when drinking these products and they are recommended for their therapeutic effects.

“Marijuana coffee” is not as common and it contains both THC and CBD, and may cause the effects THC bring so it is not recommended for those seeking medical relief.

How is CBD Coffee Made?

Infusing CBD into coffee beans isn’t as simple as putting a few drops of CBD into coffee grounds before brewing a new pot. The natural oils that coffee beans release during the grinding and roasting process are used as a carrier for CBD. If this is not done, the taste of the coffee becomes strange.

If you’re looking for a perfect cup of coffee, you need to have a properly infused CBD roast. Expert brewers have spent years perfecting an infusion that doesn’t sacrifice taste.

Health Benefits and Side Effects of CBD-Infused Coffee

CBD is widely regarded as therapeutic for multiple ailments. Pain relief is the most common reason why CBD is popular but it’s been proven to be effective for conditions such as anxiety and depression, chronic seizures, migraines, neurodegenerative diseases such as fibromyalgia, epilepsy, diabetes menstrual cramps, and even digestive issues.

All you have to do is to take a cup of coffee in the morning, not worrying about smoking or vaping. People who have taken CBD coffee claim their life has better quality, their chronic pain have subsided, and their physical and emotional well-being is improved.

But what about the side effects? Is CBD coffee too good to be true?

There aren’t any medical studies that have hard evidence to show negative effects from drinking CBD coffee. Drinkers, both new and long term have not reported any negative side effects.

Thank you for this guide. Been told that CBD coffee is wayyyy better than a certain green brand’s over priced drinks lol. Might buy a pack or look for samplers so i can finally have a taste. As a long time coffee drinker, i feel like the effects of caffeine no longer work on me. I need a much better alternative to perk me up during mornings and slow hours at the office. I’m a bit skeptical though since i have used cbd oil to calm me down and help me sleep, so i’m curious as to how it’s going to work with coffee.

Can’t believe this doesn’t include The Brothers Apothecary CBD tea. It’s by far the best I’ve tried (over 60mg a bag too which is nuts).

Buddha tea is good but has been totally out of stock. The Pomegranate tea looks super interesting… Might have to try that.
